Leena AI alternatives in 2026: 8 HR and IT AI assistants compared

The best Leena AI alternatives in 2026 for HR-led buyers: Harmony, Moveworks, Atomicwork, ServiceNow HRSD, Workday Sana, Zendesk, Siit and Aisera compared.

The best Leena AI alternatives in 2026 for HR-led buyers are Harmony, Atomicwork, Workday's Sana agents, ServiceNow HR Service Delivery, Moveworks, Zendesk for Employee Service, Siit and Aisera. Harmony is the closest fit for 200 to 1,000 employee companies that want HR and IT requests resolved in Slack or Microsoft Teams on top of the HRIS they already run. Sana suits companies standardized on Workday, ServiceNow HRSD suits enterprises already on ServiceNow, and Atomicwork suits teams that like published, outcome-based pricing. Leena AI itself remains a strong option for large, multilingual HR deployments.

Why HR teams look for Leena AI alternatives

Leena AI sells "AI Colleagues" for the back office: Harrison for HR, Iris for IT and Fiona for finance. Its HR assistant covers 19 areas, from leave and payroll to transfers and separations, in more than 100 languages, across web, mobile, Microsoft Teams, Slack and phone, with a stated go-live of 45 days. It is rated 4.6 on G2 from 151 reviews, and reviewers consistently praise ease of use and responsive support.

The reasons buyers still compare alternatives come from the same review base and from Leena's own pages:

  • Technical issues and AI limits. G2's pros and cons summary for Leena AI lists technical problems, slow updates and software bugs as the most common complaints, with limited AI understanding also recurring.
  • Feature and integration gaps. Missing functions and limited integrations come up repeatedly in the cons themes.
  • Cost and time to value. G2 reviewers place Leena AI in the highest perceived-cost tier, report an average implementation time of three months, and an average 17 months to return on investment.
  • No public price. Leena's pricing page describes the model (a flat license per employee per year for the Universal Assistant; an annual platform fee plus token usage for the AI Colleagues platform) but publishes no amounts.
  • Separate assistants per function. HR, IT and finance are separate colleagues, which suits large shared-services organizations but can feel heavy for a mid-market company where one team runs onboarding across HR and IT.

How we evaluated

We scored each tool on what an HR team feels every day: whether answers are personal (using HRIS data about the person asking), whether the AI completes requests rather than only answering, Slack and Teams support, HR privacy controls (approvals, restricted visibility, audit logs), whether HR and IT run on one platform, and pricing transparency. Facts come from vendor product, documentation and pricing pages and G2 listings, checked in October 2026 and listed under Sources.

The alternatives

1. Harmony

Best for: HR and IT leaders at 200 to 1,000 employee companies who want one AI agent in Slack and Teams that answers personally and carries routine HR requests to completion, with the HRIS staying the system of record.

Strengths: Harmony for HR uses each employee's role, location, manager and leave balance to answer personally. It acts on requests: time off with the approval routed, new hire onboarding, employee offboarding and employee referrals. HR events in Workday, HiBob, ADP, Rippling, UKG Pro, SAP SuccessFactors or Ceridian Dayforce trigger onboarding and offboarding across HR and IT. Every HR action has guardrails and human approval where needed, every action is logged, and four security layers keep the AI from reaching HR systems directly. The same agent handles IT requests, backed by asset and application management, so onboarding is one workflow, not three tickets. At Cyera, roughly 85 to 89% of employee requests are resolved automatically, a customer-reported figure published by Harmony.

Limitations: No published per-seat pricing to self-serve. G2 reviewers ask for more flexible reporting and dashboard widgets, and some integrations needed extra setup steps. Harmony is a younger company (founded 2025) than most vendors here.

Pricing: A custom quote scoped to company size and how the platform is used. The core deployment includes the Slack and Teams agent, knowledge base generation, core integrations and support. Available through AWS Marketplace private offers.

Rating: G2 4.8 (80 reviews), Gartner Peer Insights 4.9 (32), Capterra 4.9 (19), checked October 21, 2026.

2. Atomicwork

Best for: Companies that want HR and IT on one AI-first platform and like usage or outcome pricing.

Strengths: AI coworkers for onboarding, offboarding, benefits operations and the people directory; answers on benefits, PTO and parental leave from HR documents; a no-code builder with approval gates. Works in Slack, Teams, email, a portal and a browser, with Workday, ADP and BambooHR integrations. Lists SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, CSA STAR and ISO 42001.

Limitations: The Professional plan covers up to 250 end users, so most mid-market companies land on Business, which has no published price. Custom workspaces for HR, finance and legal are Business and Enterprise features. Only one G2 review.

Pricing: Professional from $25,000 a year billed annually, including 25,000 credits. Outcome pricing is also offered: $1 per resolved knowledge query, $2 per access request handled end to end, from $3 per service resolution, each with annual minimums.

Rating: G2 4.0 (1 review).

3. Workday Sana agents

Best for: Companies that run Workday HCM and want the HR assistant to come from the same vendor. (Workday's current agent experience is called Sana, introduced in March 2026.)

Strengths: The Self-Service Agent handles time off, expenses and profile updates end to end from live Workday data, respecting Workday role permissions, in Workday, Slack, Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Gemini. Sana Concierge resolves HR and IT requests, including onboarding, offboarding and software access, and can run standalone with third-party case management or with Workday Help.

Limitations: Strongest when Workday is your HRIS; Sana Enterprise requires Workday HCM or Financial Management. IT fulfillment depth (identity, devices, SaaS) is less documented than HR. Very few public reviews so far.

Pricing: Available through Workday Flex Credits. Workday's launch release says Flex Credits come with the Workday subscription with no extra license; consumption beyond that is not published.

Rating: G2 lists Sana Agents (sold by Workday) at 5.0 from 1 review.

4. ServiceNow HR Service Delivery

Best for: Enterprises that already run ServiceNow for IT.

Strengths: Employee Center as an AI front door, HR case management where AI agents run playbooks and escalate, a Manager Hub, lifecycle automation from hiring to offboarding, and workforce planning. ServiceNow cites 76% self-service deflection from customer results.

Limitations: Implementation weight and cost make it an enterprise choice. The HRSD product page does not mention Slack or Teams. G2 reviewers of ServiceNow broadly cite a steep learning curve and high licensing and implementation costs.

Pricing: Quote only.

Rating: G2 4.3 (412 reviews).

5. Moveworks

Best for: Large companies keeping their HR case system and adding an AI assistant in chat.

Strengths: HR Answers that respect knowledge permissions, HR Concierge to file and track HR tickets, HR Forms completed in chat, HR Approvals routed from systems such as Workday and SAP Fieldglass, HR analytics, and 100+ languages. ServiceNow completed its acquisition of Moveworks on December 15, 2025, and has since combined it with ServiceNow workflows as EmployeeWorks; Moveworks also remains available on its own.

Limitations: It is a front door, not an HR case system, so a mid-market company usually buys two products. Custom HR integrations need the Creator Studio add-on. G2 cons mention integration complexity and a learning curve, including with non-ServiceNow platforms.

Pricing: Custom quote. See our Moveworks alternatives guide.

Rating: G2 4.4 (158 reviews).

6. Zendesk for Employee Service

Best for: Companies that already run Zendesk and want HR and IT on the same vendor.

Strengths: Published per-agent pricing, ITSM features such as asset management on Growth and above, and a new Employee Service AI agent (early access from August 2026) that answers from Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Notion and more, respects source permissions, and works in Slack and Teams.

Limitations: The AI agent answers today; actions that resolve requests end to end were announced as a later update. Automatic activation excludes HIPAA accounts and Team plans. G2 cons mention AI limits and missing advanced features.

Pricing: $29, $59 and $99 per agent per month billed annually (Team, Growth, Professional); Copilot add-on $50 per agent per month; 5 to 10 automated resolutions per agent per month included, then $1.50 (committed) or $2.00 (pay as you go) each.

Rating: G2 4.5 (112 reviews).

7. Siit

Best for: Companies under about 300 employees where one small team handles HR and IT requests.

Strengths: Requests from Slack, Teams and email land in one inbox with the employee's context; workflows, asset and SaaS management and HRIS integrations from Standard; a 14-day free trial.

Limitations: AI agents are on the Pro plan only. HR-specific privacy controls are less documented than IT workflows. G2 cons cite reporting gaps and integration issues.

Pricing: $23, $45 and $89 per admin per month billed annually (Essentials, Standard, Pro), with unlimited employees.

Rating: G2 5.0 (29 reviews).

8. Aisera

Best for: Enterprises that want an AI layer over ServiceNow or another existing system across IT, HR and other functions.

Strengths: Broad coverage (IT, HR, finance, facilities, legal), voice and multi-channel bots, Teams deployments in its customer stories, and ISO 27001, SOC, HIPAA and CSA STAR listed. Automation Anywhere acquired Aisera in November 2025 and says it will keep developing and supporting the products.

Limitations: G2 cons center on a steep learning curve, time-consuming tuning, complex setup and some inaccurate answers. Integration plans after the acquisition are not detailed publicly.

Pricing: Not published (quote via RFP). Vendr reports a median contract of $108,225 a year (third-party estimate). See Aisera alternatives.

Rating: G2 4.4 (146 reviews).

How to choose

  • 200 to 1,000 employees, HR and IT share onboarding, employees live in Slack or Teams: Harmony or Atomicwork. Harmony if you want personal answers on top of your HRIS with approvals on every HR action and a quote scoped to your size; Atomicwork if outcome pricing fits your budget model.
  • Workday is the HRIS and the HR team owns the decision: start with Sana, then check how far it reaches into IT fulfillment.
  • ServiceNow is already the platform: ServiceNow HRSD, with Moveworks or EmployeeWorks as the chat front door.
  • Zendesk shop: Zendesk for Employee Service, knowing actions are still arriving.
  • Very small team: Siit.
  • Large, multilingual shared-services HR: Leena AI or Aisera remain strong contenders.

How Harmony compares with Leena AI

Both answer HR questions and act on them. The differences are structural. Leena runs separate colleagues for HR, IT and finance; Harmony runs one agent across HR and IT, with assets, applications and employee records in the same platform, so a new hire's HRIS record triggers accounts, devices and HR tasks as one workflow. Leena states a 45-day go-live and G2 reviewers report about three months to implement; Harmony deploys in days. Leena prices per employee per year with no published amounts; Harmony prices each deployment with a custom quote. Leena's edge is scale and language coverage for very large global HR teams. At Kith, 57% of questions are resolved with no ticket, a customer-reported figure published by Harmony.
